The
Ceylon Petroleum Corporation was set up as a state enterpise by Act.
No. 28 of 1961 in parliament and further amendments carried out subsequently.
The main objectives of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation are the following:
"To carry on business as an importer,exporter, seller,supplier and distributor of Petroleum products. To carry on business of exploring for the exploiting, producing, and refining of Petroleum and to carry on any such business as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objectives". |

REFINERY
Oil Refinery with a rated capacity of 51,000 bbl/d located at Sapugaskande
started operations in1969. As at date it processes about two
million Metric Tonesof light crude oil to supply more than 50%
of the requirement of the island.
MARKETING AND SALES
We supply all the fuel needs of the island through about 800 dealers.
AVIATION REFUELLING TERMINAL
Ceypetco-Aviation of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has a monopoly in
Aviation fuel handling inSri Lanka provides 24-hour
aviation refuelling services at
Bandaranaike International Airport,Katunayake.
AGRO CHEMICALS
Ceypetco Agro provides agrochemicals to control insects, weeds
and fungi of crop cultivation. The best quality product at a
reasonable price is the aim.
